Michael Shermer
Singulis mensibus post Aprilem 2001, "Skeptic," commentarium in Scientific American actis diurnis in singulos menses scribit.
Vita, educatio, cursus honorum
recensereShermer in California Meridiana adolevit.[10][11] Aetate sua quarta, parentes divortium fecerunt cum se,[10] et deinde mater viro nupsit cui iam erant tres liberi (qui ergo filii novercae facti sunt), paterque mulierem duxit quae ei duas peperit filias (sorores eodem patre natae). Pater infarctu cordis anno 1986, mater cancro cerebri anno 2000 mortem occubuerunt.[12]
Shermer Ph.D. in Universitate Graduata Claremontiana in historia scientiae anno 1991 meruit, dissertatione "Scientista Haereticus: Alfredus Russel Wallace et Evolutio Hominis: Investigatio Naturae Commutationis Historicae" relata.[13] Anno 2002 librum ex dissertatione scripsit: In Darwin's Shadow: The Life and Science of Alfred Russel Wallace: A Biographical Study on the Psychology of History.[21] Antequam Societatem Scepticorum condidit, fuit adiunctus historiae scientiae professor in Collegio Occidentali Californiae.

Praefatio ait:
- Ita legatum binorum generum errorum cogitationis accepimus: Error Generis 1: falsum creditum et Error Generis 2: verum reiectum. . . .
Shermer in libro How We Believe: The Search for God in an Age of Science ('Quomodo Credimus: Dei Aetate Scientiae Indagatio') psychologiam investigavit quae fidem Deo fulcit.
Etiam anno 2002, Shermer et Alexander Grobman librum Denying History: Who Says the Holocaust Never Happened and Why Do They Say It?
Liber Science Friction: Where the Known Meets the Unknown ('Fricatio Scientiae: Ubi Nota in Ignota Concurrunt') anno 2005 editus est. Tum liber Why Darwin Matters: The Case Against Intelligent Design ('Cur Darwin Interest: Causa contra Consilium Intelligens') (2006) argumenta quae evolutionem sustinent singillatim recognoscit, Consilium Intelligens acriter improbans.
Liber The Mind of The Market: Compassionate Apes, Competitive Humans, and Other Tales from Evolutionary Economics ('Mens Fori: Simiae Misericordes, Homines Competitores, Aliaeque Fabulae ex Oeconomica Evolutionaria') anno 2007 prolata est; in quo Shermer inventa refert multarum investigationum morum et biochemiae quae evolutionarias morum hodiernorum explicationes aspiciunt. Februario 2009, Shermer The History of Science: A Sweeping Visage of Science and its History ('Historia Scientiae: Amplissimus in Scientiam et Eius Historiam Prospectus'), acroasim sonicam horarum viginti quinque, deinde Maio 2011, The Believing Brain: From Ghosts and Gods to Politics and Conspiracies—How We Construct Beliefs and Reinforce Them as Truths edidit.
Contra Shermer arguit Paulus Maier, professor historiae antiquae in Universitate Michiganiae Occidentalis.[27]
Shermer acroases habuit in omnes tris eventibus Beyond Belief appellatis a 2006 ad 2008. Etiam acroasim habuit in Conloquio TED de "Why people believe strange things" ('Cur homines res alienas credunt') anno 2006.[28] Saepe in Skepticality, podcast publico Skeptic magazinae, acroases habet. Crebrius cum Deepak Chopra disceptavit,[29][30] insigniter Martio 2010 in Nightline, programmate ab ABC News emisso.[31]
Die 21 Augusti 2010, Shermer praemium accepit quod suos conatus in campo sceptico comprobavit, abs Liber Investigationum Grex (Independent Investigations Group) per eius Decimas Ferias Anniversarias concessum.[32]
