Eduardus Munch
Eduardus Munch (IPA Norvegice /ˈɛ̀dvɑʈ ˈmʊŋk/, natus Løten in vico Hedmarciano Norvegiae die 12 Decembris 1863; mortuus Ekely apud Asloam, 23 Ianuarii 1944) fuit pictor Norvegiensis, motus expressionista praeclarissimus Norvegiae plerumque aestimatus. Clamor, eius clarissima pictura, quae motum animi timoris ante oculos ponit, una ex iconicis artis mundi imaginibus facta est.
Puer orbus saepe infirmus fuit, familiarem dolorem psychologicum metuens. In Schola Regali Artis et Designationis Christianiae (in Osloa hodierna) matriculavit, cum vitam bohemicam degere inciperet, ab Ioanne Jæger nihilista multo motus, qui suum statum animi mentisque pingere suasit (statum quem "picturam psychologicam" appellabat). Ex quo suus modus unicus ortus est.
Multum iuvenis peregre didicit. Lutetiae operibus Pauli Gaugin, Vincentii van Gogh, Henrici de Toulouse-Lautrec avide studuit, praecipue eorum tractationem colorum. Berolini in Augustum Strindberg dramatistam Suecicum incidit, quem pinxit cum initium Zoophori Vitae faceret, sui magni operis, quod seriem thematum profundorum sicut amorem, anxietatem, invidiam, proditionem depingit.
Clamor Christianiae conceptus est, ubi secundum Munch, in solis occasu ambulans, "ingentem infinitumque naturae clamorem" audivit. Facies in pictura percepta sollicitus hominis moderni angor exsistentialis late habetur. Inter annos 1893 et 1910, quattuor exemplaria huius imaginis fecit (duo picta, duo in pastellis ficta), cum aliquot impressionibus graphicis. Una ex exemplis in pastellis fictis quartum a maximo pretio ullius picturae in auctione emptae demum meruerit.
Contra famam divitiasque gliscentis, eius animi motus instabiles duraverunt. Matrimonium breviter contemplatus est, sed se obligare noluit. Quendam debilitatem mentis anno 1908 passus est, postquam ebriositatem tandem demisit, et crescens Christianiorum comprobatio atque exhibitiones in museis urbanis eum magnopere exhilaraverunt. Senescens placide privatimque laborabat. Quamquam nazistae eius opera in Germania vetaverunt, plurima ex eis secundo bello mundano supefuerunt.
Asteroides 5699 Munch in eius honorem nominatus est.
