Commiphora opobalsamum (L.) Engl.

Commiphora gileadensis (binomen a Carolo Christensen post Linnaeum anno 1922 statutum) est arbor resinum aromaticum balsamum vel opobalsamum producens quod ab antiquos ad unguenta et medicamenta conficienda adhibitum est. Sponte in Iemenia, Arabia Saudita et Aegypto meridiana crescit. In Israele ab antiquis iterumque ab hodiernis, in Aegyptum inferiorem a mediaevalibus introducta est.
