Colonica Civitatum Foederatarum historia rerum gestarum memoriam coloniarum Europaearum ab America colonizata ad earum sub Civitates Foederatas coniunctionem amplectitur. Anglia, Francia, Hispania, et Nederlandia saeculo sexto decimo exeunte maiores colonizationis conatus in orientali America Septentrionali fecerunt.[1] Parvi primorum temporum conatus, insigniter perdita Colonia Roanoke, saepe evanescuerunt; ubique primi advenae celerrime mortui sunt. Nihilominus, coloniae floruerunt. Coloni Europaei ex variis gregibus socialibus et religiosis advenerunt. Nulli optimates se perpetuo conlocaverunt, sed nonnulli viri audentes, milites, agricolae, et caupones advenerunt. Diversitas quidem fuit proprietas Americana, cum Nederlandici Novae Nederlandiae, Sueci et Finni Novae Sueciae, Anglici Tremebundi Pennsylvaniae, Anglici Puritani Novae Angliae, Anglici coloni Iacobopolis, et "pauperes digni" Georgiae, ad novum continentem venerunt et colonias aedificaverunt quibus erant distincti modi sociales, religiosi, politici, et oeconomici.

Una colonia in aliam aliquando dominata est, usitate per bella inter parentes Europaeos. Solum in Nova Scotia (nunc pars Canadae) victores colonos priores expulerunt; potius omnes ad unum in pace vivebant. Haud fuerunt maiora bella civilia inter tredecim colonias, ac duo maiores rebelliones armatae (in Virginia anno 1676 et Novo Eboraco annis 1689–1691) mox defecerunt. Proelia autem inter Francos et Britannicos—praecipue per Bella Francorum et Indorum et Bellum Patris Rale—iterata sunt, et Francicum impetuum Confoederationis Wabanakianae in fines subsidium implicaverunt. Fuerunt quattuor regiones distinctae: Nova Anglia, Mediae Coloniae, Coloniae Sinus Chesapeake (Meridies Superior), et Coloniae Meridianae (Meridies Inferior). Nonnulli historici quintam regionem addunt: Fines, qui numquam separatim ordinati sunt.[1] Antequam coloni Europaei advenerunt (circa 1600–1650), maior Americanorum Nativorum in Civitatibus Foederatis orientalibus habitantium pars interfecta erat a novis morbis, in vitam quotidianam decenniis ante ab exploratoribus nautisque casu introductis.[2]
