Philosophia religionis est "investigatio philosophica rerum et notionum principalium ad sacra translaticia pertinentium."[1][2] Disciplina antiqua est, in primis manuscriptis notis de philosophia inventis, atque aliis philosophiae et cogitationis generalis ramis coniungitur, inter quos metaphysica, logica, historia.[3] Philosophia religionis temporibus classicis pars metaphysicae habebatur.
