Saecularismus est cosmotheoria vel principium quod saecularitatem in dato contextu sociali definit, contra res non saeculares iactans, excusans, aut fovens.[2][3] Usitata saecularismi definitio est religionis et rerum publicarum civitatisque separatio,[4] sed anticlericalismum, atheismum, naturalismum, symbola ex publico exterminata, multoque plurimas notiones significare potest.[5]
