Thomas Paine
Thomas Paine (natus Thetford in vico Norfolciae, 29 Ianuarii[1] 1737; mortuus Novi Eboraci in urbe, 8 Iunii 1809) fuit rerum politicarum peritus, unus e conditoribus Civitatum Foederatarum et Aevo Illuminationis eruditus. Res novas Franciae contra opinionem conservatismi Edmundi Burke defendit in libro The Rights of Man de iuribus humanis. Post immigrationem ad Tredecim Colonias, libertatem Civitatium Foederatae affirmavit in "Common Sense" de iure naturali. Etiam minimum rediti pro hominibus pauperibus et senibus spondere affirmavit in Agrarian Justice, et fuit abolitionista contra servitutem.
