Mimesis
Mimesis (Graece μίμησις < μιμεῖσθαι 'imitari' < μῖμος 'imitator, histrio') in philosophia criticisque litterarum variissimas significationes implicat, inter quas sunt imitatio, similitudo, docilitas, repraesentatio, actus expressionis, et introductio sui.[1]
Mimesis in Graecia antiqua erat notio quae creationi operum artis moderabatur, praecipue de mundo corporeo, intellectum pulchritudinis, veritatis, et boni exemplar. Plato mimesim (imitationem) a diegesi (narratione) distinguebat. Post autem Platonem, significatio vocabuli mimesis partes plerumque in litteris in antiqua societate Graeca agere coepit, et eius significatio postea commutatur emendaturque saepissime.
Unum e notissimis mimesis studiis hodiernis, genus realismi in litteris, est Erici Auerbach Mimesis: The Representation of Reality in Western Literature ('Mimesis: repraesentatio realitatis in litteris Occidentalibus'), liber qui incipiens repraesentationem mundi in Homeri Odyssea et repraesentationem mundi in Bibliis Sacris insigniter comparat. Ex quibus textibus, quorum Odyssea a scriptoribus Occidentalibus et Biblia Sacra a scriptoribus Medii Orientis excogitata sunt, Auerbach fundamenta unificatae repraesentationis rationis iecit, quae omnem historiam litterarum Occidentalium comprehendit, mythologiis modernisticis tempore Auerbachiano divulgatis non exclusis. In historia artis, vocabula mimesis, realismus, et naturalismus saepe hodie adhibentur, saepe inter sese permutantes.
Mimesis a permultis philosophis aliisque cogitatoribus subtiliter enodata est, inter quos sunt Plato, Aristoteles,[2] Philippus Sidney, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Adam Smith, Gabriel Tarde, Sigismundus Freud, Gualterius Benjamin, Theodorus Adorno, Ericus Auerbach, Paulus Ricœur, Luce Irigaray, Iacobus Derrida, Renatus Girard, Nicolaus Kompridis, Philippus Lacoue-Labarthe, Michael Taussig, Merlinus Donald, Homi Bhabha.
