Another oportunity to a on-line ancient greek enciclopaedia recensere

hello, mr. Leighvs optimus maximus.

recently has been refuse a request for delete the ancient greek wikipedia incubator page, similarly to classical japanese and ottoman turkish none of them can be delete because there is a current discussion about the possibility to change the policy about ancient languages. it means that is still workable. in the future is possible that language subcommittee reconsider its opposition to the ancient languages wikipedias.

i suggest you the following:

1.- to continue working in the incubator. for a future change of policy that allow newly ancient language wikipedia. the project would be extremely advanced when it happens, ready for the approbation.

2.- that not exclude the number 1: open a request in the incubator plus at wikia. if the strategy number 1 fail, it is the other oportunity. if the two strategy succeed. congratulations!!! ancient greek would have two on-line enciclopaedias, not just one!!!

Ancient Greek Wikipedia recensere

Hi! As you may know, the proposal about Wikipedia in Ancient Greek has been conditionally approved. To get final approval, the interface needs to be translated into Ancient Greek. For more information about this, see m:Talk:Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Ancient Greek 2. I'm writing this to you because that you are the user with the highest knowledge of the language amongst the interested contributors, so you might be best qualified for the task. This does not mean that you have to do it, of course, but I think you may be well-suited for it.   Jon Harald Søby 13:51, 24 Maii 2007 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations on your conditional project approval! recensere

Dear LeighvsOptimvsMaximvs. On Meta's Requests for new languages I read that you have recently supported a request for a new language project that has now been conditionally approved. Congratulations on that approval! I hope your community can make something wonderful out of it.

One of the requirements for getting from a conditional approval to a complete project with its own wiki is that the interface for MediaWiki for that language has been sufficiently localised. I would like to ask you to check the localisation statistics for the languages you are able to contribute to, and if you are willing, invite you to visit Betawiki, where you can contribute to improving the localisation for those languages. On Betawiki, users contribute to the MediaWiki localisation of more than 70 languages every month. Please do not hesitate to drop me a note there if you have any questions. Cheers!
