Salve, Nathan!

Gratus in Vicipaediam Latinam acciperis!

Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" fieri velle!

American geography

recensere

Not quite Latin yet, but getting there! I moved the page to Vicipaedia:Porta eruditionis/Scriptorium/Geographia Americana. If you want to go on working on it, go ahead; if you want help, ask at the Vicipaedia:Taberna. Best wishes Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 08:55, 16 Octobris 2009 (UTC)Reply

Egbertus

recensere

Hi Nathan. It's good that you made the page on Egbertus, but it's not good Latin as yet. I've made some minor changes:

Egbertus (Anglice: Egbert) Rex Saxum Ocidenttelium ero.
Or, literally in English: "I, Egbert, shall be Stone King of the Wwestirnerrs."

turned into:

Egbertus (Anglice: Egbert) fuit rex Saxonum Occidentalium.

in which the main changes have been:

  • Making a "blue link" out of Anglice
  • Turning ero (future 1st pers. sing, "I will be") into fuit (past 3rd pers. sing, "he was")
  • re-write into the true genitive plural Saxonum (<Saxo) and Occidentalium (<Occidentalis)

I have further moved it into the Scriptorium here Vicipaedia:Porta eruditionis/Scriptorium/Egbertus (rex Saxonum Occidentalium), so you can work on it if so you wish in the future. Remember to add inter-wiki links acn categories. Then you could think about adding dates (birth, death, reign, etc).--Xaverius 17:27, 3 Novembris 2009 (UTC)Reply
