Salve, Mathiaroseli!

Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" aut "Vicipaedianam" fieri velle!

Not the way to do it

recensere

I see you diverted the interwiki links away from the existing article Lautus to the new one that you had created Testudo (instrumentum musicum). This was a bad move. If you want to argue that the title of Lautus ought to be changed, you can do so at Disputatio:Lautus. If you want to improve that article, you're very welcome to do so. You can't start another article on the same subject, ignoring the previous one. That isn't the way Wikipedia works. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 08:51, 14 Augusti 2009 (UTC)Reply

I didn't. Lautus is not a lute (testudo), Lautus is the lauto, that's a modern steel-strung guitarlike or mandolinlike instrument. Please compare the related English and German articles to see what is understood to be the lute. That's what I wrote in my introduction. The lute my article describes is the plucked string instrument that was in use in Western Europe during the 11th to 18th centuries. Please feel free to improve and correct if you are familiar with the lute. Mathiaroselius 11:29, 15 Augusti 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, and I see you've now started a discussion on that issue at Disputatio:Lautus. Fine. I suggest you correct the interwiki links on both Latin articles. Ideally the interwiki links shouldn't overlap (but I know that is difficult or impossible sometimes ...). Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:01, 15 Augusti 2009 (UTC)Reply

May I leave that to you? I'm not sure I understand what you want Mathiaroselius 18:38, 15 Augusti 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes. No problem, and no hurry. The debate will sort itself out, and then we'll get the links right. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 20:14, 15 Augusti 2009 (UTC)Reply
