Salve, Flejern!

Gratus in Vicipaediam Latinam acciperis!

Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" fieri velle!

Your page Charlie Baker will need some work to avoid deletion ... the "Non stipula" formula, which I have placed on it, lists the minimum requirements for a Vicipaedia page. Ask me, or ask at the Vicipaedia:Taberna if you need some help. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:57, 6 Februarii 2015 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your move of Cenomannica (the US State) to Meduana. Two reasons.

  1. First, we verify Latin geographical names independently of whether other places have the same name in other languages. The Latin name for the French river Maine doesn't have to be the same as the Latin name for the US state Maine. That's the way it is with geographical names. And, in particular:
  2. Cenomannica is sourced as the Latin name of this state. See the footnote immediately following "Cenomannica". It's important to notice, too, that by changing the first words of the page, without looking at the footnote, you made it look as if the footnote supports your name "Meduana". That isn't true.

But keep on looking at our geographical names. If you find sources to support a change, by all means cite the sources. If the move is obvious and unopposed, yes, make it. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 13:41, 7 Februarii 2015 (UTC)Reply
