Dentes humani sunt structurae ossium aliquantulum similes, quae frusta cibi secando contundendoque ad vorandum et concoquendum mandunt. Hominibus sunt quattuor dentium genera: incisores, canini, praemolares, et molares, cuique est effectus certus: incisores cibum secant, canini cibum scindunt, ac molares et praemolares cibum contundunt. Radices dentium, intra maxillam (superiorem) mandibulumque (inferiorem) iacentes, gingivis teguntur. Dentes in variis texturis variae densitatis et duritiae consistunt.
