(Croatice Ruđer Josip Bošković; Italiane Ruggiero Giuseppe Boscovich[2]; Serbice Руђер Јосип Бошковић; natus Ragusii die 18 Maii 1711; Mediolani mortuus die 13 Februarii 1787) fuit physicus, astronomus, mathematicus, philosophus, legatus, poeta, theologus, presbyter Catholicus ordinis Iesuitarum, et polymathes[3] (homo universalis) e Civitate Ragusina oriundus. In Italia et Francia educatus est, ubi multa ex suis operibus protulit.[4] Se nationalistam Dalmaticum descripsit.
