Die 1 Februarii anno 1965, Paulus Papa VI ordini Decretum Laudis tribuit.[4] Congregatio pauperibus servit et fere toto orbe terrarum propagata est. Plus quam 4500 sorores in 133 terris habitant, ordini sunt 710 domus, inter quas valetudinaria pro moribundis (Bengalice: Nirmal Hriday id "cor purum" signat, quod decretum primum anno 1952), aegris, qui lepra aut SCDI aut phthisis affecti sunt, hominibus tecto non receptis et liberis.[5] Etiam orphanotrophium creavit anno 1955.

Teresia etiam congregationis ramum feminarum contemplativum fundavit, praeterea Patres et Fratres Missionarios a Caritate, motum nomine "Corpus Christi" sacerdotibus destinatum ac Consociationem adiutorum, qui omnibus ex gentibus oriundi sunt.

Praemio Nobeliano Pacis honorata est anno 1979. Die 19 Octobris 2003, Ioannes Paulus Papa II eam beatificavit.
