Salve, Iovis Fulmen!

Gratus in Vicipaediam Latinam acciperis!

Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" fieri velle!

Hem, videtur ut te non recte salutavi! Lice mihi. Si quaestiones ullas habeas, libenter quaere. Gratus apud nos!--Ioshus Rocchio 04:30, 15 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikibook: Latin

Hi, I hope you speaks German very well: Bitte schau dir mal foldende Diskussion unter Disputatio:Ars docendi an.

*wein* --80.132.112.120 11:58, 19 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply

Harrius Potter - contribuenda?

recensere

Why do you think we should move the articles about the books into the main article? Most of these articles have 5, 6, 8 or even more interwiki links. --Roland2 17:31, 19 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes indeed most of the other Wikipedias have one article for each instalment. What made me feel uncomfortable with this order is that it is of no particular help for people seeking information about either of the books. Also, if seen in Categoria:Litteratura it seems a bit awkward having half a dozen Harry Potters next to one entry each of other authors. But maybe you are right and this is an entirely different problem (of categories?!). So I won't insist on the merger. I'll just copy this to the discussion of the page.--Iovis Fulmen 20:58, 19 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've put all into a Categoria:Harrius Potter. Now Categoria:Litteratura looks better. ;-) --Roland2 21:41, 19 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply
It does look good. Even the new category :-))--Iovis Fulmen 22:02, 19 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply

--Iustinus 05:45, 3 Septembris 2006 (UTC)Reply

Declension of Finnish names

recensere

I agree with Iacobus in the statement that Jämsärum looks wrong and that removing the vowel harmony would be better. However, it is even better if there is something existing available. Do you have the Kalevala Latina? Apparently there is a table in there which explains this sort of thing. --Harrissimo 15:14, 30 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply

[1] has a reference to Hallapyora (excuse me for not using the umlauts) which can maybe help you find it more easily. It looks like the nominative in the text though... --Harrissimo 15:41, 30 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, just missed your message! This solution means that I can certainly decline city names more easily and I can finish off my chart. The torrens bit also helps with translating koski (a minor problem me and Neander had). Does the Kalevala have anything about "aa" or "ää" in the genitive, by the way, and would it agree with what we have in the table (i.e. XYZAA (-AAE) or XYZÄÄ (-AAE))
P.S. Please feel free to join the Portal, I look lonely all on my own in the user box and I could do with all the help possible. --Harrissimo 15:53, 30 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, maybe the -is ending could be something to do with what Neander said about a short -o at the end of a word, rather than the long -ō. But, there is a Finnish user on Wiktionary, who looks like a bit of an expert at doing Finnish-Latin stuff, so I may contact him and see if he can add anything. It's great to have you on board in the Porta, though :) --Harrissimo 19:00, 30 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply

Placetne tibi?
  • und Kainuum regiones transit... I'm guessing the und was a mistake :D, and also we have Caiania for Kainuu.
  • Here says that Olonets (as a language) can be known as Olonetsian, which maybe gives us Olonetsia(e) or Olonetsiensis?

Otherwise, the rest is all good. I am working on a translated version of The English Karelia map too.

P.S. In numbers over 999, we use   (e.g. 200 000 = 200 000) instead of a . or , or ' etc. --Harrissimo 10:51, 17 Augusti 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maxime mihi charta placet, tibi autem placuisse Venetiam spero! und quidem error fuit, recte delevisti, et gratias ob Caianiam! Nunc vale, mihi interdum discedendum est.

ave jove. i saw what you wrote on my disputatum page about lexicum. I hope it would become very useful for everybody so if you know some words (even if you don't speak french) you can add, this is very free. if you think something is missing in this page, don't worry and add it, let's go. Moreover, if there is smthg in french you want to understand, post me a message with the text and i or my brother, we will translate it in english (or in german if my brother have time enough). salve. -- Thoma D. 13:30, 28 Augusti 2007 (UTC)Reply
