Trobriand Cricket: An Ingenious Response to Colonialism ('Criccetius Trobriandanus: subtilis colonialismo responsum') est anthropologica pellicula documentaria populi Insularum Trobriandianarum in Papua Nova Guinea et innovationum unicarum quas in criccetio lusu fecerunt. Haec pellicula, a Jerry W. Leach moderatore facta, multas mutationes ab insulanis factas in criccetio, usitato ludo Britannico, investigat. Ioannes Rouch, celeberrimus et unus ex observatissimis pellicularum fabricatoribus, in colloquio in fasciculo veris periodici Film Quarterly prolato, de Trobriand Cricket ait: "Pellicula est admirabilis, fortasse una ex maximis temporis recentioris pelliculis anthropologicis."[1][2]

Criccetius in insulas Trobriandianas a quodam Reverendo Gilmour, missionario Britannico, saeculo vicensimo ineunte introductus est, ad substituendam comitatem athleticam pro prisca belli violentia. Criccetius in Trobriandianis magnopere convertus est cum singula ludi, inter quae numerus lusorum, pilarum, clavarum, regularum, et vestimentorum, late commutarentur. Pellicula monstrat criccetium in Trobriandianis re vera esse aliud et sollemne belli genus.

Pellicula, ut subtitulus ("subtilis colonialismo responsum") subicit, syncretismum vehementius dicit, scaenas primi ludi, in agris decoris in Anglia visi, cum genere insulano, colorum, sonorum, musicae, et saltationis pleno, comparat.
