Pars basalis telencephali est grex quattuor nucleorum cellularum nervalium magnorum cum imprimis acetylcholino (ACh)[1], velut etiam cum glutamato et GABA[2] neurotransmissoribus. Cholinergice praecipue fibrae in corticem ascendentes, sed glutamatergice et GABAergice imprimis in systema limbicum, corticem entorhinalem[3]), et in alias structuras descendentes videntur. Nuclei sunt:
- Nucleus septalis medialis (Ch1) pars substantiae innominatae
- Nucleus gyri diagnonalis dorsalis (Ch2)
- Nucleus gyri diagonalis ventralis (Ch3)
- Nucleus basalis telencephali (MEYNERT, Ch4)
- Nucleus subputaminalis[4]
Substantia innominata ad partem cellularem partis basalis spectat, ergo non est regio nuclearis propria. Praeterea hodie substantia innominata in parte pallido ventrali attribuitur.
