Ecclesia cathedralis Sarisberiensis in Anglia occidentali visitatur. Sede episcopali antea Sorvioduni vel Vetere Saro posita, episcopus Ricardus Poore novam ecclesiam cathedralem Sarisberiae vel Saro Novo anno 1220 aedificare coepit, materie praesertim e lapicidinis Teffont Evias advecta. Ecclesia iam anno 1258 (episcopo Aegidio de Bridport) magna parte confecta est, turre excepta, quae anno circiter 1320 addita erit.

Aevo recentiori restitutionem ecclesiae Iacobus Wyatt inter annos 1787 et 1793, Georgius Gilbertus Scott inter annos 1865 et 1871, restructionem autem culminis Arthurus Blomfield anno 1898 curaverunt.
