Cricetinae
Cricetinae sunt subfamilia parvorum mammalium ordinis Rodentium, quae undeviginti species continet, in septem genera digestas.[1][2] Cricetinae, praecipue Mesocricetus auratus, animalia dilecta domi habentur, et in experimentis scientificis adhibentur. Tres aliae species late animalia domestica habita exempla Cricetinarum nanarum sunt: Phodopus campbelli, Phodopus sungorus, Phodopus roborovskii.

Cricetinae sunt crepusculares potius quam nocturnales, et in agris feris in latibundis subterraneis diu manent ad praedatores vitandos. Plerumque seminibus, fructibus, holeribusque vescuntur, sed aliquando insecta fodentia consumunt.[3]
