Claytonia
Claytonia est genus viginti sex specierum angiospermarum olim in Portulacaceis sed nunc in familia Montiacearum descriptum, plerumque in America Septentrionali endemicum, cui sunt nonnula species quae ad meridiem in Guatemalam in America Media, et ad boreoccidentem in Asiam boreorientalem extenduntur. Nonnullae species olim in Montia, specie cognata, tractabantur.

Claytonia perfoliata, species lactuca fossorum per ludibrium appellata, per Occidentem Montanum Americae Septentrionalis distribuitur, in solis umidis, ubi regiones nuper perturbatas praeponit. Species sic appellatur quia pro fossorum acetaria recenti erat in concursu aurei in California anno 1849.[1]
