Bioethica, vel ethica biologica, est studium rerum ethicarum, usitate controversarum, quae ex novis rebus et facultatibus per progressum in biologia et medicina effectis oriuntur. Quae etiam prudentia et usu medico est perspicientia moralis. Bioethicistis referunt quaestiones ethicae quae in coniunctionibus scientiarum vitae, biotechnologiae, medicinae, civilitatis, legum, et philosophiae oriuntur. Bioethica etiam amplectitur studium rerum vulgarium ad aestimationes pertinentium ("ethica quotidiana") quae in cura primaria aliisque medicinae ramis oriri possunt.
