Asparagus officinalis olim inter Liliaceas digerebatur, sicut Allia cepa et sativum ; investigationes autem geneticae lilia, allia, et Asparagum offinalem in tribus familiis (Liliaceis, Amaryllidaceis, Asparagaceis) proprie ponunt, Amaryllidaceis et Asparagaceis una in ordinem Asparagalium digestis. Fontes inter se variant de primo Asparagi officinalis distributio geographica, sed plurumum Europae et occidentalis Asiae temperatae plerumque comprehendunt.[2][3][4][5] Fruges holerum late colitur.
