Acronicta[2] est genus papilionum familiae Noctuidarum, inter quod sunt circa 150 species, quae plerumque in temperata Holarctica endemicae sunt, aliquibus in adiacentibus regionibus subtropicis habitantes. Erucis plurimarum specierum sunt spicae setosae coloribus claris; communibus arboribus foliatis saepe vescuntur. Larva Acronictae oblinitae est eximie setosa.[3]
