Squilla mantis est species Stomatopodum quae ad litora marium Mediterranei et Hadriatici necnon sinus Gaditani habitat. Sola inter Stomatopoda huius regionis a piscatoribus ad comedendum quaeritur. Praesertim in Italia et prope Gades Hispaniae inferuntur.
