Solanum cyanocarphium (binomen a Carolo Ludovico de Blume anno 1825 statutum)[1] est planta florens generis Solani subgenerisque Leptostemoni. Herba fruticosa spinosa humilis, ad 1 m longa, ramis brevibus, foliis simplicibus profundius lobatis, fructibus globosis diametro inter 1 et 1.6 cm. In Vietnamia, Cambosia, Malaya, Sumatra, Iava, Borneo australi, Celebe, Philippinis australibus sponte gignitur.
Species in Prodromo regni vegetabilis Alphonsi de Candolle, anno 1852 divulgato, a Michaele Felice Dunal bis descripta est, in Iava sub nomine S. bullato-rugosum,[2] at post Blume in eadem insula "in oryzetis siccis montium Seribu" sub nomine S. cyanocarphium, fructibus nondum observatis.[3] Anno 1834 a Christiano Godofredo Nees ab Esenbeck descripta est, specimine a Penang reportato, sub nomine illegitimo S. sarmentosum.[4]
Fructus edulis, sucus ad febrem medendam utilis est; elephantibus ad appetiti stimulationem sucus vel decoctio datur.[5]
