Prototheoridae (Anglice African primitive ghost moths) sunt familia papilionum superfamiliae Hepialoideorum, in Africa australi endemica.

Diversitas et distributio recensere

Prototheoridae tredecim species nunc notas comprehendunt, in singulo genere (Prototheora), in Africa Australi (Kristensen 1999:60; Nielsen et al. 2000), vel ad Angolam (Prototheora angolae) et Mulanje Massif Malavii endemico (Davis 2001).
