Ovibos moschatus
Ovibos moschatus (Inuktitut ᐅᒥᖕᒪᒃ, umingmak; Woods Cree ᒫᖨᒨᐢ, mâthi-môs, et ᒫᖨᒧᐢᑐᐢ, mâthi-mostos) est Arctica mammalium species familiae Bovidarum ordinis Artiodactylorum,[3] cui est pellis densa et odor gravis a maribus tempore rugitus emissa, a quo speciei nomen derivatur, qui odor ad feminas attrahendas adhibetur.

Ovibos moschatus, pars subfamiliae Caprinarum, ovibus caprisque artius quam bobus coniungitur; nihilominus, in Ovibovem, suum genus, digeritur. Ovibos est unum ex duobus maximis Caprinarum generibus exstantibus, cum Budorcade taxicolore magnitudinis similis.[7]
