Mahometus Ali Ağca (natus Mehmet Ali Ağca Hekimhan in vico Turcico die 9 Ianuarii 1958) est sicarius Turcicus[1][2] qui Abdi İpekçi diurnarium alae laevae die 1 Februarii 1979 necavit, et deinde, die 13 Maii 1981, post carcerem effugitum, Ioannem Paulum papam II sclopeto transfixit et vulneravit. Undeviginti annos in Italia in custodia inclusus est, ubi papa ipse eum salutavit, cum in Turciam deportatus esset, ubi poenam annorum decem subiret. Ağca confirmat se die 13 Maii 2007, facinoris die anniversario vicensimo sexto, ad Ecclesiam Catholicam Romanam traduxisse.[3]
Ağca liberatus est die 18 Ianuarii 2010.[4] Se militem mercenarium nullius factionis politicae depinxit.[5]
