Historia Armeniae
Historia Armeniae res ad historiam Rei Publicae Armeniae pertinentís tractat, cum Armeniis ipsis, lingua Armenia, et regionibus quae historiae geographiaeque causa Armeniis habentur.
Armenia in terris altis circa Araratum biblicum coniunctesque montes patet. Primum civitatis nomen Armenium erat Hayk, deinde medio aevo Hayastan (Armenice Հայաստան), 'terra Haik' conversum, quod in nomine Haya,[1] antiqui dei Mesopotamici, et -stan 'terra' suffixo Persico consistit. Historicus Hayk (legendarii Armeniae rectoris) inimicus erat Bel, vel Baal (cognatum Bēlu, dei Accadici).[2]
