Gala (malum)
Gala est cultivarietas malorum domesticarum speciei Mali pumilae (quae praesertim e specie sylvestri M. sieversii provenisse censetur). Arbor Gala Greytown in oppido Novae Zelandiae anno fere 1934 primum evoluta est, cultore J. Hutton Kidd, ex hybridizatione varietatum Kidd's Orange Red et Golden Delicious. Inter mala in Unione Europaea emptoribus nostris diebus desideratissima locum secundum, in Civitatibus Foederatis Americae locum primum tenet.
