Dipodidae sunt familia rodentium quae per hemisphaerium septentrionale inveniuntur, sola familia superfamiliae Dipodoideorum. Quae familia plus quam quinquaginta species in sedecim genera digestas comprehendit,[2] inter quas Zapodinae et Sicistinae insigniter sunt. Variae species in terris gramineis, desertis, et silvis habitant. Omnes salire possunt, quae facultas in dipodidis in desertis habitantibus maxime evoluta est.
