Dermophis parviceps est species amphibiorum familiae Dermophiidarum,[2][3] quae in Costa Rica et Panama[1] et fortasse Columbia endemica est, secundum fontes.[2][3] Eius habitationes naturales sunt humidae terrarum humilium silvae silvaeque montanae subtropicae et tropicae ad altitudines a 40 ad 1200 metra super aequor maris. Species est subterranea, usque ad 60 centimetra sub superficie soli, sed etiam sub stipitibus et in detritu foliorum inventa. Verisimile est vivipara.[1][3]
