Cyprinidae

Cyprinidae (Graece κυπρῖνος 'cyprinus') sunt familia piscium classis Actinopterygiorum, quae plerumque in piscibus generum Cyprini, Carassii, Ctenopharyngodontis, et Hypophthalmichthydis, subfamiliae Leuciscinarum verarum, et earum cognatorum (piscium praecipue generum Barbi et Puntii) consistit. Quae est maxima piscium aquae dulcis familia, plus quam 2400 specierum in circa 220 generibus habens. Familia ordinis Cypriniformium est, cuius generum specierumque Cyprinidae sunt duae partes.[1]
