Bubo bubo
Bubo bubo est species avium familiae Strigidarum ordinis Strigiformium, quae in multo Eurasiae habitat,[3] una e maximis Bubonis specierum. Feminae usque ad 75 centimetra longae crescere possunt, latitudine alarum 188 centimetra; mares aliquantulum minores sunt.[4]

Bubo bubo est permagna avis, Aquila chrysaeto minor, sed Bubone scandiaco maior, quamquam ambae species simillimae videntur. Aliquando maxima orbis terrarum bubo appellatur,[4][5] quamquam Bubo blakistoni aliquantulum gravior, et Strix nebulosa, minus gravis, aliquantulum longior est.[6][7][8]
