Xanthosinum, etiam xanthinum ribosidum et 9-β-D-ribofuranosylxanthinum appellatum, est nucleosidum, compositum organicum a xanthino et riboso deductum et biosyntheticus 7-methylxanthosini praecursor per 7-methylxanthosini synthesin. Illud 7-methylxanthosinum vicissim est praecursor theobromini, alcaloidi activi in socolata, qui invicem est praecursor caffeini, alcaloidi in coffea et thea.[1]
