Woden
Woden vel Voden[1] (lingua Anglica antiqua Ƿōden,[2] lingua Theodisca alta antiqua Wôdan,[3] lingua Saxonica antiqua Uuôden[4]) fuit maior deus Anglosaxonum et Germanorum continentis. Cum Odine, pari Nordico,[5] progressum *Wōđanaz, dei Protogermanici, repraesentat. Ab eo dies Mercurii in nonnullis linguis appellatur "Wodeni dies" (e.g. Wednesday, dies Anglicus, et woensdag, dies Batavus).[6]
