The Christian Science Monitor ('Monitor Scientiae Christianae') est non lucrativa nuntiorum societas,[1] quae commentarios formis electronica impressaque constanter edit.[2][3] Societas condita est anno 1908 diarium quotidianum a Maria Baker Eddy, conditoris Ecclesiae Christi Scientificae.[4] Anno 2011, exemplaria quotidie impressa 75 052 numerabantur.[5]
Secundum interretialem societatis situm, "praecipuus Monitoris habitus verbis Mariae Baker Eddy de eius proposito videtur: 'Nemini nocere, sed omnibus beare.' Propositum est familiam humanam amplecti, lumen tam adhibens ut difficultates facultatesque mundi nos ad explicationes moveant."[6] Christian Science Monitor septem praemia Pulitzerana ac plus quam duodecim praemia Transmarinae Diurnariorum Sodalitatis (Overseas Press Club) accepit.[7]
