Somnus undarum lentarum
Somnus undarum lentarum (Anglice slow-wave sleep), etiam somnus altus, est gradus N3 somni non REM.[2] In hominibus, duratio gradus somni undarum lentarum circiter 70, usque ad 90 minutas est.[3] De consuetudine, haec duratio in parte noctis primae et tantum in iuniores observatur, i. e. non in aetate provecta, qua somni architectura usitata amittitur.
Somno alto ineunte, somnus vix interruptionem sinit, nisi stimuli fortiores structurae trunci encephali signa per neurona glutamatergica thalamo mediodorsali excitent.[4]
Somnus undarum lentarum phasis putatur, quo consolidatio memoriae fit, quod transitus ab memoria breve (memoria operante) ad memoriam duram significat.
Architectura somni
recensereNocte somnus hominis et diversarum bestiarum phases recurrentes, de consuetudine quater, quinquiens repetentes ostendit. Haec typica somni architectura vero tantum in iuniores, non in aetate provecta, observatur, qua gradus N3 rarius perveniri, simul frequentius leviter dormiri solet.
Consolidatio memoriae
recensereConsolidatio memoriae, quod somno undarum lentarum attribuitur, transitus memoriae ab memoria breve (memoria operante) ad memoriam duram significat.[6] Dividitur in consolidationes synapticam et systematis: primo consolidatio in synapsium chemicarum gradu horis paucis post discentem. Deinde, inter hebdomades, memoria nova ope hippocoampi cerebri confirmatur. In senectute, deminutionis somni undarum lentarum causa, consolidatio memoriae deminui solet.[7]
