Sandalus niger

Sandalus niger est species coleopterorum familiae Rhipiceridarum, quae in America Septentrionali endemica est. Larvae sunt ectoparasitoidea cicadoideorum nymphalium.

Feminae maresque volant, sed feminae plerumque sine motu in truncis ulmorum manent. Mares, qui volare solent post meridiem cum temperatura inter 15C et 30C esset, sub 15C quiescunt. Praeter coitionem, feminae maresque immobiles manent, non volantes.
