Resolutio angularis
Resolutio angularis est facultas ullius artificii imagines formantis, sicut telescopii optici vel telescopii radiophonici, microscopii, photomachinulae, vel oculi humani, parvorum rei singulorum distinguendorum, ut sic principalis resolutionis imaginum determinator sit.
Hoc vocabulum in usu optico undis lucis, in theoria antennarum undis radiophonicis, atque in acoustica undis sonicis adhibetur. Resolutio spatialis, locutio arte cognata, ad subtilitatem mensurae erga spatium spectat, quae cum resolutione angulari in instrumentis imagines formantibus recte coniungitur. Norma Rayleighiana monstrat minimum spatium angulare quod per systemata imagines formantia resolvi potest a diffractione ad proportionem longitudinis undarum et latitudinis aperturae circumscriptum esse. Qua pro causa, systematibus magnam resolutionem imaginum formantibus, sicut telescopiis astronomicis, lentibus telephotographicis photomachinularum spatii longi, telescopiisque radiophonicis, sunt magnae aperturae.
