Petrophysica
Petrophysica (a Graecis πέτρα 'saxum' + φύσις 'natura') est studium proprietatum corporearum et chemicarum atque earum actionum cum fluidis.[1] Quod plerumque adhibetur ad lacus petrolei pro industria hydrocarboneorum investigandos. Petrophysici ingeniarios lacuum geophysicosque adiuvant in investigatione saxosarum lacuum proprietates, praecipue quomodo foramina inter se in subsuperficie coniungantur, congestum et migrationem hydrocarboneorum temperantia.[2] Inter proprietates magni momenti in petrophysica investigatas sunt lithologia, porositas, saturatio aquae, permeabilitas, et densitas.
