Zingiber mioga

Zingiber mioga (Iaponice: 茗荷 myōga; binomen a Gulielmo Roscoe anno 1807 statutum), est herbacea, decidua, perennis planta Zingiberacea in Iaponia et Serica nata et ob esculentas florium gemmas et surculos saporificos diutissime exculta. Gemmae minutatim secantur ut in re coquinaria Iaponica ornamenta in misone iure, sunomonone, ciboque sicut melongenae assae adhibeantur. Hoc zingiber, antiqua Iaponiae messis, nomine vulgato mioga est pro cultu in Australia et Nova Zelandia introducta ut ad mercatum Nipponense exportetur.

Nonnulla miogae elementa sunt cytotoxica, sed alia elementa contracarcinogenicas proprietates fortasse habent.[1]
