Maria Gimbutas
Maria Gimbutas (Lituanice Marija Gimbutienė; in titulis librorum suorum saepius Marija Gimbutas) (Vilnii nata die 23 Ianuarii 1921; mortua Angelopoli die 2 Februarii 1994) fuit alumna universitatum Vytauti Magni et Vilnensis in Lituania et post secundo bello mundano universitatis Tubingensis in Germania, ubi gradum doctoris anno 1946 nacta est. Apud universitates Harvardianam et Californiensem Angelopolitanam docuit. Archaeologa fuit quae de originibus Indoeuropaeis operam dedit. Suadebat locutores sermonis primordialis Indoeuropaeae idem fuisse ac structores tumulorum (Russice kurgan) in planitie Russica meridionali millenniis V et IV a.C.n. habitantes; de hac tumulorum hypothesi etiamnunc disputatur.
