Ioannes Vladimirus
Ioannes Vladimirus (Serbice Јован Владимир; natus circa annum 990, mortuus die 22 Maii 1016) fuit regnator Ducliae, potentissimi principatûs Serbici huius temporis,[1] inter annos 1000 et 1016. Hoc tempore longum bellum inter Imperium Romanum Orientale (Byzantinum) et Primum imperium Bulgaricum gestum est. Vladimirus autem, regnator pius, iustus, pacificusque, nunc a Christianis Orthodoxis martyr sanctus agnoscitur; dies festus eius est 22 Maii.

Ioannes Vladimirus, quamquam societate cum Byzantio coniunctus, Ducliam servare non potuit a Samuele, tzare Bulgariae, qui hunc principatum circa annum 1010 vicit et Vladimirum cepit. In chronicis traditur Theodora Cosara, Samuelis filia, Ioannem Vladimirum amavisse et patrem obsecravisse ut ei nubere sibi liceat. Tzar matrimonium sivit et Ducliam reddidit Ioanni Vladimiro, qui cliens eius regnavit. Vladimirus non particeps fuit soceri bellorum, quae anno 1014 Samuelis clade morteque evenerunt. Anno 1016 Vladimirus victima insidiarum Ioannis Ladislai, ultimi regis Primi Imperii Bulgarici, factus est. Ante ecclesiam Prespae, capitis imperii, securi percussus, ibi sepultus est. Mox martyr agnitus est. Vidua eius Cosara eum in ecclesia Prečista Krajinska prope aulam eius in Duclia austro-orientali denuo humavit. Ab anno 1381 reliquiae eius in Ecclesia Sancti Ioannis Vladimiri prope Elbasan et ab anno 1995 in cathedrali Tiranae in Albania conservatae sunt. Haec reliquiae sacrae habentur et multos fideles attrahuntur, praesertim in die festo eius, cum reliquiae rursus ad ecclesiam prope Elbasan celebrationis causa feruntur.
Crux quoque, quam Vladimirus tenebat cum securi percussus sit, reliquiae sacrae ducitur. A familia Andrović vici Velji Mikulići Montis Nigri curatur et fidelibus tantum in festo Pentecostes monstratur, cum in pompa ad summum montem Rumijam geritur. Ioannes Vladimirus primus sanctus Serbicus, atque patronus oppidi Antibarii Montis Nigri habetur. Prima vita eius, hodie deperdita, fortasse inter annos 1075 et 1089 scripta est; versio abbreviata, Latine scripta, in Gestis regum Sclavorum conservatur. Vitae Graeca et Slavica primum annis 1690 et 1802 editae sunt. In iconibus plerumque rex cum corona et vestibus regiis, cum cruce in manu dextra, capite suo in manu sinistro pingitur. Etenim traditur suum caput abscisum ad locum sepulturae tulisse.
