Iacobus, vulgo James Pettifer (Herefordiae natus anno 1949) est Balcanologus et diurnarius Anglus. Alumnus est scholae regiae urbis Vigorniae et collegii de Hertford apud Oxonienses.
E periegesibus suis in Graecia, Turcia et paeninsula Balcanica commentationes apud The Times et Wall Street Journal, libros de recentibus rebus gestis, libros etiam iter facientibus directos composuit, inter quos volumina seriei Blue Guides Bulgariam et Albaniam Kosoviamque describentia (1996, 1998, 2001). De historia illius regionis olim iuxta institutum studiorum bellicorum (Conflict Studies Research Centre) Britannicum, recentius apud universitatem Oxoniensem docuit.
