Hyalophora cecropia
Hyalophora cecropia est species lepidopterorum familiae Saturniidarum et maximum inter Americae Septentrionalis heterocera. Feminae latitudine alarum plus quam 160 mm visae sunt. Species reperitur ad occidentem usque ad Californiam et ad septentriones in maiorem provinciarum Canadiensium partem.[1] Larvae plerumque in arboribus Acri inveniuntur, sed arboribus generum Pruni et Betulae vescuntur.
