Heloderma suspectum
Heloderma suspectum est species lacertae venenosae quae in Civitatibus Foederatis meridianis occidentalibusque et Sonora in Mexico septentrione occidentalique endemica est. Hoc animal, lente se movens, usque ad 60 centimetra longa, est sola lacerta venenosa in Civitatibus Foederatis indigena, unumque ex binis lacertarum venenosarum Americae Septentrionalis speciebus notis, quarum alia est Heloderma horridum, cognatum proximum.[2] Propter eius pigritiam hominibus minime minatur, sed autem contra eius famam formidolosam, aliquando interficitur, quamquam a legibus civicis in Arizona protegitur.[1][3]
