Discordianismus est paradigma religioe et philosophiae consequens in veneratione Eris Discordiae, Deae Chai, vel archetypi vel exemplaris cum ea consociati condita. Constituta est post Principia Discordia editum (1963),[1] librum sacrum, a Gregorio Hill cum Kerry Wendell Thornley scriptum, ambobus pseudonymis Malaclypse the Younger et Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst scribentibus.

Haec religio cum Zen comparari solet ob similtudines cum interpretationibus absurdisticis scholae Rinzai et philosophiae Taoisticae. Conditur discordianismus in notione ambos ordinem et confusionem esse illusiones in universum per humanum systema nervosum impositas, et neutram harum illusionum ordinis manifestae esse accuratiorem vel extrinsecus veriorem quam alia.

Opiniones dissentiunt inter se num religio parodica haberi debeat, et si habetur, quali gradu.[2] Discordiani humore seditioso ad eorum philosophiam augendam utuntur et ad dogmaticismum earum fiderum prohibendum. Difficile est aestimare numerum Discordianorum quia eis non necesse est confiteri Discordianismum eorum solam fidei rationem,[3] et quia Discordianismus ad schismata et cabales creanda facile tendit.[4]
