Acherontia (lepidoptera)
Acherontia est genus lepidopterorum familiae Sphingidarum, quod ab Iacobo Henrico Laspeyres anno 1809 erectum est. Generi sunt tria species: Acherontia atropos, Acherontia styx, Acherontia lachesis, quarum prima in Europa et per Africam invenitur, aliaeque Asianae sunt.

Descriptio
recensereHaec lepidoptera facile distinguuntur calvariforme humano notarum exemplare in thorace. Magna sunt, coloribus fusco, flavo, aurantio tincta, atque omnes species magnitudine, coloribus, circuloque vitae aliquantulum similes sunt. Omnes nocte volare solent.
